Thank You!
I just wanted to take a pause to thank everyone who’s subscribed to my Substack, and invested any time at all in reading my work and following along. Thank you for the likes and the email feedback, and the kind words. It means more to me than you can know. As a collection of essays, there’s a common thread throughout. Hopefully there’ve been some thought starters in there, and hopefully you’ve also been entertained. This all started for me about two years ago when I started writing about my father in, Clean As you Go. Once I finished it, I was like, now what? It’s especially gratifying to find that story has struck a chord with many people. Likely because while the story itself is very personal to me, the themes themselves are universal. Still, it’s both scary and freeing to be vulnerable and put myself out there, revealing personal thoughts and many things that have mainly lived as fragments in my head.
Now I’m hoping to build my subscriber base. So please feel free (I encourage you) to share this site with anyone you feel might enjoy it. And if any of you start writing yourselves, please let me know and I’ll subscribe to you. I’m not shy about sharing what’s on my mind, but I want to know what everyone else is thinking too.
I spoke with Ringo, and he said always sign off with peace and love.
Peace and love, Brent
